BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Company) motorcycles had a significant impact on the British motorcycle industry. Founded in 1861, BSA initially manufactured firearms before expanding into bicycles and motorcycles. In the early 20th century, BSA motorcycles gained popularity, particularly during World War I when they supplied motorcycles to the military. BSA became renowned for its robust and reliable bikes, catering to a wide range of riders with models like the Gold Star and Bantam. However, the company faced financial difficulties in the 1970s and ceased motorcycle production in 1973. Despite its discontinuation, BSA motorcycles remain cherished by enthusiasts as a symbol of British motorcycling heritage.
